I read a disturbing article today about an 18 year old high school student who had a laptop that was provided by his school to help with his education. The student got more than an education when he found out that the school officials could remotely turn on his webcam and watch him in the privacy of his own home. After being hauled into the principals office for "dealing pills", the student explained that he was eating "Mike and Ike" candies. The parents are understandably upset with this whole mess as the kid was being filmed in their HOME UNAWARES!
Hmmm.... Why is it that the liberal goons messed their pants when the Patriot Act wanted to spy on terrorists, but you don't hear a peep from them when the school system decides to play Big Brother on laptops without student knowledge.
This is one reason my kids don't go to liberal public schools, among many... A parent would get locked up if they secretly filmed their kids in their own home, but it's ok if it's the school??
Where is the ultra-liberal ACLU on this one? I'm sure they'll side with the schools, because after all, there is a disclaimer on all laptop issues isn't there?
Score one more for the liberal idiots who care more for making us into robots that individual freedoms... sigh...
